MSA Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Zhong Qiu (中秋) Festival is a popular harvest festival. In Malaysia, Singapore and the Phillipines, it is also sometimes referred to as the Lantern Festival or Mooncake Festival.

This year for the RMIT Malaysian Student Association (RMIT MSA) we've decided to bring you a big get-together to come and celebrate and rejoice in this festival and also to meet new and old faces along the way.

There will be food provided (Halal) and also activities to join in with your friends! All students of all races and ethnic groups are welcome to join us!

So come along and spread the word, to relive those childhood memories with lanterns and candles, mooncakes and food, new and old friends at the MSA Mid-Autumn Festival!

So orientation day was a huge success! Thanks all of you who came to sign up and also to those who just dropped by to chat with us! You guys are AWESOME!!

For those who signed up on that day, you would have received awesome discount cards and free gifts!

One of them would have been Old town Kopitiam Mamak in QV! Nothing like having your very own local food 100000 miles away from home yea!?

As we all know. It’s that time of the year again when we get to sign up for all kinds of different clubs and societies. Well, we’ve reach the most anticipated week! O WEEK people! Where we get to meet new students from different walks of life as well as collect FREE STUFF from all the miscellaneous stalls available on that day!

So if you’re from MALAYSIA, this would be a great opportunity to meet your fellow Malaysian’s here in Melbourne and MSA (Malaysian Student Association of RMIT) provides a chance to do that. If this is your 1st year studying abroad (we've all been through that and know how tough and scary it can be) or 2nd or even 5th, this is still a great chance to be part to a community that would ensure that you feel welcome in your new surroundings. A VERY BIG THANK YOU to all the people who has attended our BBQ event! We hope you had a great time mingling with other people,as well as enjoying our delicious food. Even though it drizzled a little but that didn't really deter us from having fun,right?

Also a very special thank you to the committees and those who have helped preparing and cooking the food,doing the registrations,making sure nothing goes cuckoo and much much much much more! Everyone did a great job so kudos to you guys!
